We aim to operate in an efficient and decentralized manner. Cannabis Genome DAO is organized into guilds (teams) with designated standing roles to support the consistency and integrity of our community as a whole. Anyone can apply for a new role at any time - even if it does not exist yet - by starting a discussion in the Cannabis Genome DAO Discord server.

General Roles

• Community Steward; responsible for creating processes that improve the onboarding experience for new members and help to resolve disputes.
• Peer-reviewer; responsible for evaluating the authenticity of datasets being submitted for verification based upon transparent and community-determined criteria.
• Developer; responsible for creating and maintaining the underlying code that enables our community to operate in a decentralized and autonomous manner.

Organization

Working Groups, or any people working as a team, have core contributors that act as the main point(s) of contact, often responsible for:

• Intra-team coordination

  • Onboarding new team members
    • Customer feeback rating coul d be applied to broadly.Through genuine empathy
  • Creating & maintaining proposed team/project goals, roles, and budgets
  • Maintaining access to the accounts necessary to facilitate the functions of the team
  • Delegating account access to the team as necessary for the duration someone is fulfilling their role

• Inter-team collaboration

  • Community Calls help on the server on a regular basis. Open to anyone to participate
  • Drafting and submitting funding proposals
  • The lead coordinator and show host act as core contributors on all teams to facilitate communication, integrate signals, and ensure account access is maintained
  • There is no maximum number of core contributors per team
  • Core contributors can be voted in or removed from a role at any time by a majority vote quorum consisting of all core contributors.
  • Core contributors should have their status revoked after a certain period of inactivity (zero communication with any other core contributors) to ensure the integrity and security of the group as a whole
    • Auto-enacted after a time period set by the Working Group leads (e.g. they haven’t posted in the comms channels on Discord in > 30 days.

  • All passwords are required to be updated for each new season of Cannabis Genome DAO and must be a minimum of 12 randomized characters containing letters, numbers and special characters (e.g. j#@etM?5Rxf6)
