How Cannabis Genome DAO Works

1. Create your web3 wallet(s)

   1. Option 1: Fund your own account at https://wallet.near.org
      1. Option 2: Introduce yourself in Discord and complete the AstroDAO Membership Application Form indicating the account name you want to reserve (please make sure it’s available first). Then, we’ll fund the account for you with some free Near & email a link to claim the access keys to your account.
   2. Complete the Astro Membership Application Form to participate in on-chain voting, claim bounties, and treasury management.
   3. Create an Ethereum wallet (e.g. Metamask or Rainbow)

2. Participate in Chat on Discord

   • Attend Weekly Community Calls Thursday at 4:20 PM PST
     • Recordings available on YouTube
     • Meeting notes on Notion
   • Join Project Guilds to collaborate with others, learn, and share your expertise
   • Give !praise to other members for contributing
     • Use emoji reacts to flow “Cred” to other members (non-transferrable reputation tokens)
     • Opt-in for weekly “Grain” distributions (payouts in CSAT based on your reputation)

3. Participate on the Governance Forums (Discourse)

   • https://forum.cannabisgeno.me - forum posts are searchable/shareable openly on the web
   • Review past proposals and well-crafted, long-format content published by DAO members
   • Like and comment on posts to signal your support & further discussion
   • Create new proposals and long-format, blog-style discussion posts
   • Opt-in for weekly “Grain” distributions (payouts in CSAT based on your reputation)

4. Complete Bounties on DeWork

   • Bounties are more easily issued, described and claimed on DeWork than AstroDAO. However, this requires you to create & fund a Metamask wallet on Ethereum (which is more difficult and incurs greater fees than transactions on Near).

   • Deliverables for tasks can be completed by anyone - typically multiple submissions are allowed and method of selection should be indicated in the bounty details (either the first acceptable submission or the best submission after a certain period or number of submissions will be chosen).
